Mitsu, if you install your injectors this weekend use this method to tune them especially since your starting over it will save you ****loads of time for sure. After using this method I have not touched my injector settings since then.
Ok so basically Aaron confirmed some things here on evom and separated the bull****. He told me to pick an afr then taper it down about .5 afr down the table so I did this

Next he said pick a injector scaling and do a WOT pull. then adjust the scaling up or down until your close. Mine are now about .3 to .5 afr difference between actual and table afrs. Once thats done scaling is done leave it alone then just adjust your latencies to get your trims close, he said disregard your long term trims and just watch your short term and as long as its staying +/- 5% I still made sure my long terms were at least +/- 10. He says evos stock will have LTFT up to +/- 8. Scaling=WOT and latencies=cruise and idle. He simplified alot for me and changing the maf scaling to stock evo is what really lined up my afrs for me. However I am sure this is due to me having as entirely stock evo intake setup including FMIC BOV and MAF
I have confirmed this works guys and I redid my injectors in like 10 mins its SWEET!!!!!

So change my fuel map to look like that? do i switch over to closed loop again? or can i stay in open loop when scaling? so basically i just want my wideband AFR to match what i have in the actual ARF map in ecuflash?
Something along those lines. My map looks alot different now but this was my base which took out alot of variable when adjusting my injectors and allowed me to get a good look at how they were progressing. You can use a map like this then use injector scaling to get it close. You wont get it exact ever but even if you get it within .5-1 afr point away you know you have rrom to work with and you can adjust from there
ok so when tuning injectors for latency do you use the stock settings and multiply it by the amount your cc's are rated to?
for ex stock is 275 I think, mine are rated to 880cc
so I would copy all the settings and muliply it by 3.2% or .032?
here are my current settings
scaling is 750
volts - MS
4.6875 - 4.944
7.03125 - 3.192
9.375 - 2.184
11.7188 - 1.368
14.0625 - 0.984
16.4062 - 0.624
18.6768 - 0.432

our stockers are 240cc. And no there really isn't a set way for latencys. I am sure every turbo lancer out there running 440cc injectors have different values in there ROM that work for them. You should post a thread on nasioc asking people who have modified there stock injectors to the 880s what they are using for latencys and scaling. You can probably use there settings for a base and go from there
Ok so i flashed the car with the tephra auto rom again, BUT ClixT mentioned and pointed out that my rom is only 67kb while his lancer auto tephra V7 rom is a 70kb with a revised and fixed "fuel startup issue" so im waiting for him to e-mail me that, hopefully it works out!
Anyways, take a look at the log guys, without adjusting my MAF, the fuel now drops to the 11.xx's in boost but still, if i stay in boost while the car is accel, the car leans out up top. But its weird because before, as soon as im in boost, the car would run 15+AFR all the time in boost, and i would have to adjust the MAF to compensate and add fuel by scaling. So maybe i can just adjust the fuel map and see where it takes me first instead of adjusting the MAF scaling. Im getting lots' o knock tho. counts up as high as 10. I started from stock, so im pulling timing every run, its a work in progress. Take a look if you want and let me know if you have any suggestions

Haha i am, but now, still gettin knock.. grr dont like this. Even with timing pulled to (-1 degrees) in boost, still knockin...hmm.. idk why tho. Also, crusing im getting 17+ counts of knock again its nuts.. is this even real knock? LOGS:
On my NA setup, with all the stock timing that came with the tephra and my cruise maps leaned out to 15.2, I have no knock, err the cel doesnt flash indicating knock haha. When it goes up a hll in cruise and riches out, it will flash. but other than that, nothing. hmm.

Wow hmm... see i dont think im getting real knock...or if i am its mechanical somehow and not the tune.. i pulled the plugs.. they look completly normal, little brownish indicating normal wear, not black, or white, so plugs indicate a "normal wear" however there gapped at .27 inches. Could having the spark plug gapped too close cause knock? or is it the other way around? Also took a bright *** LED light and shined it down into the cylinder, the tops of the pistons are black, but im sure thats normal due to the high milage on the car currently at 146k. is there a way the pistons should look if there is excessive knock present?

make sure you unzip it
that was your problem before.
@imalancerman: did you try adjusting the load values required for the cel to flash?
the default is set to 100 load. i set it up to 60 load.

Oooopsssss. Haha, no i have not. Will do that. Ignorance was bliss. I will test it out tonight on my way into work and report back. Its strange though. I could bang through gears with no worries, and i thought, I must at some point be hitting 100 load(ive been neglecting my evoscan btw) and that light isnt flashing. But yet when im in fifth gear cruising at 55, and i push the gas aggressively, the light flashes. Or when Im at a standstill and I get a really good burnout going and it barely tags that rev limiter, it will flash. so i guess we will see when i wake up tonight what the dealio is. Ill go out and test it to see whats up before I go to work tonight and report back to you guys, maybe ill stop being stupid and do a log for my own sake haha.

also, when copying a new def file to the rommetadata, ecuflash has a bug.
even if you pasted the new def file and overwrite the old, ecuflash will continue to read
the old def file. what i suggest is make a new folder name rommetadata2.
make sure ecuflash is closed
step 1: delete the old def file
step 2: copy all the folder inside the rommetadata
step 3: paste into the new folder named rommetadata2
step 4: delete the rommetadata folder
step 5: open ecuflash and change the rommetadata
File> Options under Directories, click Metadata and change the location to:
C:/Program Files/OpenECU/EcuFlash/rommetadata2
close ecuflash and open it again.
and your set.
