You could just try it the computer wont respond without the right flashing method so no harm would come of a wrong definition. If it fails to flash its simply the flashing method being wrong.

You will want a copy of your old rom saved to the computer before you attempt though just in case you can't get it started with normal immobilizer disabling methods.

 

yeah I guess its ok but i just dont see why it says not for 05-06 in such big letters on the flasher evo rom to lancer ecu if its just a simple change in flashing method...

anyways man if you get time and check out the thread i just started https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/la...efinition.html and see if you could help anywhere in there... i know a few of the values are off like stationary rev limiter and probly a few other things. How do I fix those.

 

I didnt want this thread to be left incomplete so here is an update. The owner of the lancer purchased a 1998 eclipse gsx and sold the lancer.....

Before selling the lancer we did not get the chance to try out the Evo8 rom but did manage to reflash the stock rom and tune a little bit
