I Have finally Ordered my tactrix Cable. Where should I start once it comes in? What program is the best? I just want learn how to log data and then learn how to tune for a CAI and cat back. Any and all help is appreciated.

If you haven't bought a laptop yet you can get a laptop under 100$ that will work with Tactrix. Use win 7 runs faster much more stable.

Which cable did you go with 1.3u or 2.0?

Good info.... im looking to purchase a tactrix also... would the software work well on macbooks?

 

A MacBook will work but the 2009 MacBook and below run slow with win 7 so you could use win xp but I highly recommend win 7 it will go a lot smoother when reading ecu and flashing. They have the ecuflash software for Mac but it's 1.44 correct me if I'm wrong but you would need the 1.3u cable for the 1.44 ecu software.

 

If your car is over year 2001 get the 2.0 cable its newer and more refined it also works amazing on win 10 but win 7 is much more stable.
