Question 2016 Lancer GTS tuning

Hey all!

I am going to start off by saying I am new to tuning Lancers. What I am trying to do is tune my GF's 2016 Lancer GTS.

Its got the 2.4L 4b12 engine. I dont have the tables for it. Tried to open it many times in Ecuflash with no luck and done a lot of searching haha but finally made an account.

So just wondering what files i need to open the stock file in ECUflash?
I have the stock file, I got with the Tatrix cable.
and that gave me a "read_image.srf" file. And I cant do much with that yet...

Whats the next step?

Thanks in advance!

Bump!

Even if someone could just lightly point me in the right direction that would also help me greatly!

Hey BigWingThings I have a 2013 Lancer VRX (Aus version of GTS) which I have successfully tuned with extremely good results. I had to define the main maps in the ROM myself. If you post your srf file (should be 1024kB in size), I can create a basic definition file to get you started.
Completely stock, tweaking the mivec intake and exhaust cams, ignition timing and AFR maps gives stunning results in both power and economy. Was going to do a few other mods but now I will keep my money in my pocket.

This forum seems a bit inactive..... is there anyone still interested in ROM tuning the 4B11 and 4B12 engines?
If there are people with some skills that are actively tuning their ROMs, I will consider starting a new thread just for discussion on ROM tuning (no talk of turbos, catbacks, SRIs etc). Make yourself known to me.
If you are wondering, I was jaf on NissanDataScan forums - the first person to crack the QR25DE ROM and tune a Nissan X-Trail. I don't talk crap and don't tolerate it either

I have in my car the stock of 2009, 53770004. I want to see the difference with the fresh ones.
On the engine in 2013, the MIveс is at the inlet only, or at the release too left?

Hi greder,
Mivec on both intake and exhaust as always - the physical engine has not changed since it was first released.
intake warm is 59bc5
intake cold is 59ca9
exhaust warm is 59d8d
exhaust cold is 59e71
all are 22x10 maps.

Hi jajk,
Thanks for the addresses, but I already found them and many others. You do not have the address of the table, the additive of ignition when the air conditioner is turned on?

Hi greder,
I have identified a few ign timing related maps but not specifically what they are used for. Do you know what size it is and what sort of values to expect?
If you are identifying the maps in my ROM, can you throw that info back to me - you may have knowledge in areas that I do not. I have found what I need to get the result I want but positively identifying more maps is always a good thing

I'm in an 09 gts and would love learning to tune the rom. In my 03, I had a tactrix and I was learning but what are y'all using for the newer lancers to tune? New cables?

jb988 New thread is in the same section so easy enough to find
Openport 2.0 cable is required to tune the later lancers. Find one of these and I can help you with the rest
