Smile ignition coils

My ignition coils are pretty messed upon my lancer, and I wanted to know if anyone here knows where I can get some nice performance ignition coils to replace my burnt out ones.

haven't heard of anyone that sells 'performance' ones for the lancer, could be wrong, but it is something I have not seen yet. What happened to mess up yours?

There is no upgrade IGN coils, because it's a proprietary design of Mitsu. Basically, if a company messes w/ its design, Mitsu will ask for royalty. NO ONE WANTS TO pay MITSU.

The only upgrade if you do a standalone ECU w/ TEC 3 system.

well if they keep burning out, your coils aren't the problem. yes, you need to replace them, but you need to look somewhere else for the problem. try changing your plugs too.

The wasted spark system isn't proprietary, but it's not used in that many cars really. I believe the Mk IV supras use the same ignition system. If you're serious enough to replace your entire ignition to direct fire coils (1 coil pack per cyl) then you could do it...but it wouldn't be worth it to fix a simple problem like yours. Sorry to say there isn't a better solution that I'm aware othre than buying another set of stock coil packs.
