Whether forcing it or not, some people haven't look how big that engine.

Width-wise, the motor will sit beyond the fender wells . . . now, tell me how are you going to mount your shocks and struts and wheel location . . . 4-6 inches outside the stock perch location. Fab an entirely new front end like those pro import drag car = won't meet Federal crash standards.

As for the H&A crew doing all sorts of wild stuff, they are not even in it for the long haul. They have more money to blow as those Evo and Supra guys. I have no pity for them when they try to sell their car at C5 vettes prices, and no one buys it.

It can't be done. No one in the world has done it since the early 90's and through 4 generations of platform. What makes you think he can pull it off?

He's not going to build a vehicle, and it can't even be street worthy. This is the brutal reality.

Anything can be done. How about 2.7 V6 from Acura Legend in 91 CRX? Done it in my shop (sigma-racing.com). I'm thinking about Lancer...I'll keep you posted.

Unless you are willing to hack the firewall, remove the radiator support, get a custom hood and figure out the nightmare of wiring, and mounting, I would suggest winning the lotto and having someone else do all of that.

Again, he's one of the H&A boys with tons of money to blow like those Evo and Supra guys. He's not going to be there in the lang haul like holding onto the car for a decade or so. Those people are like minitruckers . . . prove a point and sell it high. When no one buys it, they whine about their effort. I have NO PITY for them.

Example: look at all those mid-90 'tegra with supra taillight conversion . . . where are they now? That's right, no where in sight!

Again, you haven't look how big width-wise on a 6g7x block. The intake mani alone can almost take up the same area of space of a 4g93 block. Then, look at the 6g75 and 6g78 in the top model galants in various late years. They get even BIGGER.

That's why the 3g eclipse can swallow an Evo 4 motor and up w/ ease. For an example, look at some GM vehicles w/ an optional V8 over the standard 6 banger. The engine bay is huge!
