Goal: Fastest N/A Lancer-----mods list inside
I find it funny how everyone's like "come on the lancers slow your still get beaten by evos and wrxs", thats like saying "the evos a piece of crap car cause a viper can smoke it in the 1/4 mile", a better comparison is between cars in the same class, such as proteges, civics, focuses, cavaliers, neons etc.. Modding a car isn't so much about making the car beat other cars, its about making the car what you want it to be. For some people this is indeed a track beast, for others its about the looks
, for others is the sterero and for others its the simple idea of making the car something it wasn't when you bought it, faster, nippier, etc.. Before you say "well it still won't beat car X" look at how much car X costs stock, and then decide whether that can be included in the same class as a stock lancer.

what can it beat besides a geo metro or a torqueless dx honda there is no hope the car is just slow even with 3000 dollar non intercooled turbo it can barely hang with tib gt spev svt focus si hondas rsx s. it takes forced induction like 10psi or more to make the car respectful then have to worry about popping are ****ty pistons.

? Maybe you need to learn how to drive. Boe was whooping *** in his lancer, as are many of the people on this board, some even beating the oh so mighty WRX's and such. If you don't like your car, get a new one. **** or get off the pot, I'm happy with my car, as are many people on this forum.
read my mods that i had face it with out a lsd the car is hard to launch mine at 7psi made a 160 or sowhp and 171 torque i spent a bunch of money i liked the car but had to sell for various reasons believe me i know how to drive.the car stock sucks with all the na mods it still sucks with fi now your getting somewhere.the car is not mod friendly.its his money he can do what he wants with it if he wants a that will be around 200whp it is going to be fi!!!
Here's a list of cars my "crappy *** lancer" beat last year. I mod my car for the best NA performance I can get out of it because that's what I can do to stay within the rules of my autocross class.

I agree its going to take a lot of work, but saying the car "sucks" is completely subjective and frankly is not a useful comment. I'm sure you hate it when the odd evo guy says "oh just sell it and buy an evo" when in reality there is insurance, availability etc.. For some people turbo is not realistic, and NA mods are all there is.
I have an intake and header and my car definitely pulls more than it did stock, and thats what its about. You have to take into account that its low numbers relative to say an evo. I'm sure the evo shows low numbers compared to an old school muscle car.
