Some people cannot afford an Evo and its insurance, some people do what they do to be unique, some people start off with a platform and just keep going.... the bottom line is that they come to an automotive forum for ADVICE and ENCOURAGEMENT. Well then what are you talking about? For an economy car, the lancer is pretty good, it shows good torque and decent handling. Its not a sports car, and its not a luxury sedan, its an economy car that can be made just that extra bit faster. This is the same thing as those american muscle boys who walk around going "oh its made by those short fellers over there in that japan so it can't hold a candle to my camaro", but I'm sure the STi and Evos drivers would take offense to that.

no it doesn't what you all fail to realize i had about 10,000 into my lancer i liked the car it was fun .sir lance can do whatever he wants its his money my biggest point is why spend all that money on na and not get that big of gains?the car stock is slow it is slow with boltons you need fi to make fast it is as simple as that.does the truth hurt?

 

i have a spec v now with simple bolt ons and can do the 1/8 mile in 9.5 at 75 mph something most turbo lancers can't do.

 

sir lancelot even with a specv that has 175 hp and 185 tq stock it is hard to get180 whp out of a specv

airquez i spent money on my car i liked it it was fun racing people and beating alot of them in a econobox lancer that was priceless. just stating the car is not na friendly.

the car was done right it was all rrm and installed at a shop. sir slow alot how is that owning me when your car can't even measure up performance wise. the turbo was 3100 plus pistons plus labor thats about 4300 the rest was cosmetic or strut bars etc..

 

You've got several guys that know something about N/A tuning saying that it is possible. A guy from RPW with more knowledge about the subject matter then you can shake a stick at saying it is possible. About three other guys who all know their shi t saying that it can be done, and then there is you... the only N/A work done to your lancer buy the way that I could see were some forged pistons and I/H/E... You went FI, that worked for you. Good job... You have a Spec V now... great...

Now here's a guy that wants to go N/A and is willing to do the hard work involved. Mad props to him for doing something different. This car modding stuff isn't about doing what everyone else is doing, but being different.
