CAI don't fit the 05 Lancer!

its just the hose that is in the way... i am seriously going to think of swapping my hose and the little thermostat housing/hose connector thingy on my engine for a 02/03 one... then maybe i will get it to fit without any other modding... there is no way i can afford to loose a cooling fan in the arizona heat... and besides... the fan isnt the problem... its just the hose as shown above by slovak... And remember people this is not a automatic it is a 5 speed manual! so somehow this cold air intake must fit! stupid radiator hose is the only thing stoping me :-(

how about going up to the dealership parts department, ordering the radiator hose from an 02-03 lancer, replacing it then putting on the CAI. If that doesn't work, you can always return it, you won't even notice gains anyways.
