Question K&N Typhoon Intake System (US Lancer)

Does anyone know of this K&N intake? It seems to me that it would be better than most SRI in the market. Looks like it would work for both manual and auto tranny. Don't know if anyone has reviewed this product. If anyone has any details on this intake, I'd appreciate it if you let me know, thanx!

Personally, i have injen SRI and it has the best rate in the market, also it sounds great, but i think it is a little pricy though..well if you want to get the good stuff, you gotta to pay some money right?? good luck dude!!

Wow Last time I looked at the intakes available for US Lancer(about a month ago)there wasn't that many to choose from. The Injen SRI looks like a nice one, not as long of an intake tube as the K&N, wonder if that makes a diff? Wish they had a price for the K&N to compare to the others.

I believe (dont quote me) that the K&n system runs about 120-130 bucks. I think thats about how much i paid to put one in my Jeep a few years back.

Personally, I think the K&n intake are pretty good, but they just dont look as nice as the units that AEM and Injen make

That KN system runs MUCH more than 120 bucks. Try more like 300.

That's right. 300 buck-a-roos. I have been emailing KN for months now, trying to get them to lower the price, but nothing so far.

As far as the setup goes, KN always makes quality stuff. The price still isn't justified in my book though. Run a search for typhoon, and you'll find more info.

Yeah, they don't run that much for really any other car. The rest are around 130, which is a fair price to me. Maybe they confused Lancer owners salaries with Evo owners salaries?
