I don't want to sound like a Honda
Another quick exhaust question. I've got my headers. Tomorrow (hopefully) I'll be ordering the greddy muffler from RRM. I'm going to http://www.kteller.com/ for the high flow cat..... Two questions.
Will the 'resonator' for the greddy muffler make my car sound better or worse (being that I don't wanna sound like the 45000 hondas out there). I don't care about loud/quiet, I just don't wanna sound like, well, like I'm driving a 4 banger (hehe). So do I get the resonator?
And about the high flow cat. Where does the bung for the o2 sensor go? Front (engine side?), back (exhaust side), or is there two bungs in the cat? Thanks in advance. I appreciate all the help.

with the rpw headers removing one of my cats, where should the 02 bung be on my new high flow (front, rear) facing engine side or exhaust side? Thanks in advance

Get this and you're set... (https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=high+flow+cat ).
The buzzy tone is gonna be less noticeable if you were to weld on a resonator. Since you have headers your exhaust is gonna be a lot louder than without headers. And plus your thinking of getting a high flow cat in addition so it will add to the sound even more. Ive read posts of someone getting their piping changed to 2.5" instead of 2.25 because of the sound. 2.5" is less buzzy i think.
You first o2 sensor has to read "dirty" air and the second "clean" to simulate the cats doing the work. So one before the cat and one after.
Since you dont have an o2 bung you might wanna weld one on after the second cat. Then wire the o2 bung for the header to the o2 sensor before the cat. And put the second o2 sensor after the cat. This way it reads correctly and no cel.
Just another reason why you should buy the RRM header...it comes with the o2 bung and CEL eliminator!

You can make your own CEL elim for less than $5. No welding, just some drilling of the anti-fouler.
As for sound, a resonator will make it sound much better. RRM had some good prices on a GReddy one I was looking at. I have headers, DP, TP and A'Pexi exhaust and it is loud as sht.

sykou, so am I to read that as requiring two 02 bungs? And the RRM cat won't fit 05's. So I'm thinking if I get a high flow cat with an o2 bung at the front and rear, I'd be okay? Thanks
