I just let the extension hang, and stuck the other end in the bottle, it didnt stall out. Then I had my brother rev the engine to about 2 rpms.

I just dumped about a 1/4 into my gas and I have noticed a difference. Car seems have more get up and go. I thought I was just fooling myself but I was with my roommate and he just asked the other day, "have you done something to your car?" and I said nothing but some fuel additive and we put it into his 94 Camary and he's also noticed a difference.

I'll be doing the oil closer to the scheduled change and the IM at the same time. This stuff does actually work.

I didn't have access to Seafoam, but I used B-12 Chemtool and it worked wonders... Then again I had been running so rich that brand new plugs would foul within 15 minutes of driving since my EMS had a short.

I ran half a can through a vacuum hose, dumped the other half in the oil and let it idle for 10 minutes, then changed the oil and filter. Unfortunately, the B-12 doesn't do the spectacular exhaust smoke effect like Seafoam does, but it sure did spray black $h|t behind my car for like 10 feet...

Anyway, now that the EMS is fixed and I've used the B-12 it's actually running better than it had before I started having problems with the EMS making it run rich. It doesn't stall as easily as it used to, peak power is definitely improved, it's much more responsive and I still haven't even run through the tank of gas with the B-12 in it.

I'm going to spray more in as a mist into the intake and then run that Duralube treatment through the next tank of gas to get every last bit out.

well i ran seafoam today, my car has 89,553 miles. i poured in 1/3 of it in the vacuim line, and 1/3 in the oil. it sucke it right in it kinda wanted to stall(automatic) but i gave it some gas and it didnt, i saw lots of smoke come out of the exhause just when i reved it alor like 4-5 thousdand rpm, nothing when it was idle. well after like 2 min of ideling wait 15 sec and then reving, i turned it off. let it set for like 15 min and then took it for a test drive(lol 30 mile test drive) , the check engine light came on and didnt go away till i unpluged the battery for like 30 min, anybody know why it came on??? on the test drive the car felt more responsive it was all good!. then i came back home and was going to get stared on the plugs and oil change. as i did the oil change everyhting was good. i put a K&N filter and Castrol High milege motor oil. I got new Autolite Platnum plugs, i gapped them at .40, After that i added cooant. put my clean air filter on and took it for a test drive again, this one was a short one like 5 min. as im exiting my drive way my car stalls, the rpm on it are from like 700-400 rpms when its ideling, it was going up and down, not steady like it used to be, i was like wtf is it going down so low for. so i restart it and went to the roads, it was running great exept when i came into some stops the rpm droped down to like 500-400 rpms., it stalled twise on the test drive. i was like this is not right. anyways wht do you think its wrong now?? maybe the gap needs to be larger like .43 or something?? thnks for the advice

You disconnected your battery and now your ECU is relearning. Your idle will be rough till it learns again. Don't be alarmed. As for the CEL light comming on it's because the O2 sensor is registering more carbon burning off then is normal. That should pass.

alright man thanks! well i still went and regaped my plugs form .40 to .42 and the rough ideling is gone, it doesent stall anymore and it runs like a champ!!! Next week i will get my timing belt, water pump, spark plug wires and breaks replaced. so it will truly run like new now!!! cant wait. MY car is runing great now, just some small noice from when i move my steering wheel but its not that much of a deal.

this sea foam stuff works wonders it really does help and i still got to do the fuel system cleanup part.

Get rid of the autolite platinums and get the regular NGK's that came with the car. Might have to change them more often but they are the ones for the car.

I think I broke it.

Was just doing seafoam on my tacoma. put some in the tank, the crank. A little down the line coming from master cylinder to intake.... start it up good, smoky.... ran a little. shut it down. Poured a little more in, started up, smoke good.. poured the rest in (seemed like less than the first two) get in go to start it and nothing. . . . Now my car won't turn over, or come out of park.... Am I screwed?

Pull the plugs and turn it over with the key. Its hydrolocked. I had never heard of putting it in the car while it was turned off til this thread and I tried it on my beater and she locked up. I am thinking some dumbass is at home laughing about this right now.

oh crap wish I read this earlier.... AAA is already one the way to tow it to the stealership..... They said it'd prolly be about 800. (I'm an ***) I'm gonna see what it'll cost to have supercharger intalled while it's there. . . I don't want to call off the tow truck, spend all afternoon screwing around aND still be broken..

P.S. Just talked to the dealershop. By the time they got it there it started up fine (but smokey). Appreciating their honesty I had em set me up with a major service (its been 60K). Plugs (never changed at 90k!), induction cleaning (isn't that what I was trying to do ), radiator flush, AC servicing, oil change, rotate and balance for $350.

Granted that service isn't hard, but for a dealership it's a pretty good price.

no I know.... I was just elated when I found out it startet up. My service advisor was telling me some guy had his truck towed in when he was trying to something similar down the TB. I think he must've been trying to jam a funnel down into the TB (rather than taking parts off) she said he needed a whole new throttle body and did something to his computer too, it cost him about $800. What I really need to do on my truck is flush the differentials.... but thats off topic... Thanks all
