No idea where to start

Hi there. I am about to "inherit" an '02 Lancer OZ. I know next to nothing about engines; all I do know is that I am not satisfied with the meager 120 horsepower this car has. I'd like to add some performance parts to it to give it some more get-up-and-go. Unfortunately this version has a 4-speed automatic, not the 5-speed I'd like, but it's not really up to me... I am pretty sure having an automatic rules out putting in a custom air intake system.

any suggestions where to start? Like I said I don't know too much about what I am doing or even where to start, but I do want to learn more, so please try to bear with me... thanks!

Just start with the basics...SRI, header, cat-back exhaust, etc.

FWI, there are a few choices for SRI's for the auto tranny... I'd personally recommend the RMR sri w/ heat shield, since that's what I've been running.

Look at my mod list. You could do all that, or go straight for an upgradeable turbo. Dont be lazy though. Everything you need to know is here if you just search ! RPW has an upgrade path that is slightly different than RRM.
