Bigger injectors make a big diff?

I was curious to know if running bigger injectors on an N/A will make anything difference power efficency wise, and if so, what kind and where can i get em?

Im considering the fuel rail as my next small power mod but will injectors help along with this mod?

i ran a search but came up with nothing, its getting really hard to find things specific when running a search, but if someone wants to hook me up with a link to a thread that could help thad be great.

thanks in advance
matt

you're probably not taxing your fuel system enough with basic N/A mods for it to provide a gain.

so not even a fuel rail would be effective?

A fuel rail will make the fuel delivery more consistent. It's really more of a support mod than anything else.

Adding a fuel rail will ensure fuel is available for delivery under not so stock conditions. You won't need to change your injectors until you start raising your compression ratio by forced induction or high comp pistons.

Fuel rail will not add power or efficiency, to answer your question.

It is a good support mod, so it'll give you the juice you need when you mash the gas (rather than the stock rail waiting to be filled up).

I had the rail, and I'd suggest it. But leave the stock injectors until you're maxing them out (or getting close).

also note that larger injectors in conjunction with an AFC of some sort will lower power if the injectors are too big. to correct for larger injectors, the AFC will fool the ecu by lowering the measured intake of air, thereby lowering the amount of fuel sprayed into the engine. this in turn will retard ignition timing possibly putting it out of working range or decreasing power to where it's not even worth it.

I though our power cam from leaning the mixture out (i.e. PB). How could injectors help? it seems like they would bo your motor down. FI guy add them to compensate for the added air and keep a good mixture (to lean is what pops motors).

If you go all out NA and have really high compression pistons (like 11:1 or 12:1) I can see using bigger injectors along with a greddy emanage to keep the motor running fine.

Its really not going to be worth putting larger injectors in a stock compression lancer. ur going to encounter more pain in tuning and only get lil power out of it. You'll spend alot of money to get very little in return.
