Question Walbro 190 Fuel Pump

I've read alot on this topic, which has been difficult with all the turbo applications to filter out, I am NA and from what I understand the Walbro 190 is a nice upgrade from the stock fuel pump and is quieter than the overkill 255lph. My question is, where the heck can I find one The sites I've looked at dont show that upgrade for the US Lancer. My stock fuel pump is screaching a little with the RPW FPR upgrade, which I love, and I'm not sure if thats a good sign. The threads I've read say the screaching is normal, or a good sighn that the pump is working, anyway, If I set the FPR for 40-41psi the screaching is even louder but the performance at that setting is better.

Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe check into one for an Evo or DSM? We share fuel pumps (and I believe there are other cars as well), so looking just for the Lancer might be the problem.

Thanks, sorry I was in the wrong forum. Any opinion about the fuel pump screaching?

yeah man i've been out surfing every day and night keeping busy. i dont remember if the pump was off of a 1g eclipse or what...search for it. there was a thread this winter about some turbo guy blowing his motor on a stock pump. i believe boe was in on the convo as well. if i remember correctly the wiring harness' were able to either match up or be spliced....it was a while ago so my memory is fuzzy.

....the screaching...i'd have to hear it. just dont tax that sucker too much

I've been on a 190 out of an Eclipse GSX for a couple years. It has a high pitched whistle at all times. It fits with little modification. I believe you have to swich a couple parts over from the stock one but it works. Its exactly the same just a little longer.

Thanks for the info If I set my FPR over the stock setting of 38-39psi it doesn't like it and screaches at me. Which sucks because the performance at 40-41 is saweet.

Comatose, get off that surf board or you'll be getting more stitches
