cut your head?... or bore?... are you trying to change the compression by chopping some of the top off?... just curious

what I'm trying to do is get the compression higher by chopping the head by .007 or .005 then putting a turbo in to it later.

I may be backwards, but I thought you want to lovwer the compression with forced induction... and you can add gaskets to do that...

but don't you need to have higher compression to gain power?

for a N/A set up, yes you will benefit from it, but if you plan on going F/I just keep it the way it is....

once you chop it, only way to repair that is to get a new head... F/I performs better @ lower compressions.. I dont believe it will hurt you, but you would be pretty much kicking yourself in the rear... Well unless you plan on getting a new head already, go and get the RRM one...

I don't know what the clearance is with the valves and pistons as stock but I bet it isn't much. I don't think its a good idead to bring it any closer without some factory documentation on those clearances.

Just keep the compression the same... Don't mill unless you have reason to believe the head is warped and really needs it. But, I somehow doubt that...
