fuel rail question

Is the Mitsubishi Lancer ES fuel rail the same as the EVO? I have an 05 Lancer ES and I've noticed alot of things are the same between the ES and the EVO. Please help me out because I need an upgraded fuel rail for my ES and haven't found one yet.

Road /// Race has an upgraded fuel rail for the 4G94. It is bored out to allow for better fuel flow. A while back there was also a billet fuel rail capable of supporting 1600+HP but was discontinued.

As for the EVO fuel rail fitting, it is to my knowledge that it either doesn't fit or no one has attempted to fit it to a 4G94 engine.

Thanks for the plug but the rail we currently have is for 02-03 Lancers not the 05. The rail alone will not do much for you unless you have mods. The 05 rail is actually larger than the 02-03 rail so there is no benefit for swapping it to a larger rail, plus the EVO rail does not fit the ES. It looks close but it is different enough to cause you nightmares.

To reiterate what's already been said,

NO, the Evo rail won't fit.
NO, the bored fuel rail won't fit either.

Thread cleaned. For sale posts go in the Classifieds...

Do you mean bigger overall, or a bigger Bore?
If just the bore, then how much bigger is the '05 Rail in comparisson to the '03 Rails?

doesnt it just provide more fuel behind the fuel injectors. if so other mods would be the only thing making it beneficial. lots of bolt ons or turbo.

It helps to get rid of some of the hesitation inherent to a stock motor.

They are different with regards to return/returnless but the injectors are also in different spot. If you put the wrong IM with the wrong rail, you will have fuel leaks and in one case I heard of a dude who burned his car to the ground!

No and why would you want to? You can get a bored 03 fuel rail for cheap.
