Anyone know or done this sawp?

The 4g63 Eclipse into the 4g93 Lancer? I've been thinking since there are more parts for these engines. More keep coming out for the Lancer, but getting pricey. Just a thought about this swap. Thanks guys!

 

Well theres the 4g63 awd motor and the 4g63t the fwd motor. Of course the awd motor would need alot of crap to make it work and its not worth the money. The 4g63t (fwd) its tranny is on the opposite side of the motor than our lancer so that should answer your question

 

Oh that would be a no. OK. I knew about the AWD. Just like an Evo, but the FWD won't work because of the tranni? Will it mount straight up even with the tranni swap?

Also forgot to ask if any of the 4g63 parts would fit. I'm pretty sure it's not, but anything is possible.

 

I'm using an aeromotive AFPR + kit designed for a dsm. I had to do a liitle work on my fuel rail to adapt it but nothing to extensive.

 

Oh my god why do these threads pop up every damn week? Search, there is a lot of info on this topic. RPW has a list of what engines can be swapped into the lancer.

 

ppl cant find the info in a search cuz they search for 5 mins... and they only get these threads cuz they pop up every damen week

You may want to read up on that second link. Cause that's the only way you're gonna get a 4G63 into your Lancer. The only 4G63 engines that will fit are from the EVO IV and up. The Eclipse 4G63 and EVO I - III engines sit the opposite way. Enjoy.

 

OK, So the only 4g63 would be the Evo 4,5,6,7,8,9. Would it work with the stock tranni? ANyways, I'll be reading that tonight. Thanks alot for the help!

 

Do a search, someone has done this and it cost them 10000$ and no car for 6 months.

Hmm the way i see it is the cost of the lancer plus that 10k and still not as good performance your just better off to get evo
