This is why I was wondering if you can just use the ralliart 4g69 axles, or are those axles the same as the 4g94 axles?

It's DOHC and I think the mounts are slightly different.

hmm.. good point but some have made the 4g63 head fit the 4g64..

for the moment (lol).. i am very interested in building this thing.. it appears that we have more space than the eclipse for a decent sized snail.. there are also a few who swap the DOHC evo head on the 4g64.. from my short amount of research (so far).. i am comparing the 4g64 and 4g63T to the KA20 and the SR20T.. the SR has shorter rods and comes for turbo where the KA20 doesnt..

The head fits but the block is different. The problem you could run into is that the longer stroke and bore on the 4G64 limits the revs it can reach.

I was always curious of this, because of the fact that evo's use the block.....so if we can fit the g64 with our cars with some work to mounts of course, then what is holding us back from the evo. Aside from anything drivetrain, because that's a given.

No because the block is different thus the engine mounts are slightly different.

yeah, the changes are very minor, we've had a few guys swap in entire 4G63's from evos or just the evo heads into our galants, and it's a fairly straightforward process. One of the cars was actually featured by modified mag, it was a white galant, you couldn't miss it.

I wanted to do the 4G64 swap for a while now, but a new project has caught my eye and I believe that I will be putting the lancer on hold while I work on it.

I'll drop a hint for you guys. Think.....David Hasselhoff
