Will SAFC work?

I just got off the phone with RRM and they said that the lancer ECU doesnt work with an AFC and it would be pointless to get one. Has anyone on here had experience with this? Because my plan was to get a stage 1.5 cam shaft and cam gear. Then get the apexi SAFC and have it dyno tuned. I thought I would be able to get some good gains with it since I already have intake, header, throttle body, test pipe, and a catback. But if it doesnt work then that just kinda sucks

A few weeks ago some wrecked there Lancer and RRM offered to buy their ECU, infact I have heard RRM have bought quite a few ECU's from wrecked lancers. I interpret this as RRM doing R&D on the ECU for our cars, and honestly with all the parts they are pumping out for our cars, the next logical step is an ECU for them, so they can get around any problems that the stock ECU has.

So I would recommend you buy the AFC, and wait a few weeks and see what RRM comes up with. I've heard rumors about a "secret product" for about $700, now im no expert, nor do I have inside information, but I remember from a thread that the secret product is for turbo and non-turbo lancers....so perhaps this is the ECU.

Don't quote me, maybe this is just speculation, but if the AFC doesn't work with the ECU, expect RRM to find a solution, hopefully sooner rather than later.

I dont know what they are talking about my SAFC works fine, I just need more time and practice to adjust it properly. Rhyzin is the authority on the subject I am just an amature but I can assure you it does work as advertised.

All I can think of is you were asking if it can control other things other than the fuel.
