New Car Smell??

New Car Smell??

i was wondering if anyone noticed a slight burning with the new car.. i just picked up the car today (WOOT SOO EXCITED).. and i already put 140km on it driving around the city, and i noticed when ever i downshift, or rev higher then 4500rpm i start to smell a slight burning?? anyone else notice this?

Thats your car breaking in....most likley the exhaust system, burning off whatever is inside the pipes.

Should be fine. If it continues for a week or so, maybe go ask the dealer?

Give it some time, it'll go away.

I had that when I first picked mine up, but it went away pretty quickly. almost 11,000 miles and no new smells.

just dont beat on it, you only have 140km on it, let it break in a bit before you start revving that high.

yeha.. im at 2000km now.. and i think the smell went away around 600-700km.. so its all good now
