This isn't the place for a dyno discussion, but I seem to constantly see you bashing on dyno results. Now, I'm always the first in line to bash on corporate dyno results, but at some point you have to accept that you aren't going to see the same picture-perfect result on every dyno sheet.
No, I only refuse to accept company dynos and magic dynos that are pulled off other unknown sites. It just seems odd how all those that have posted dynos are realitizely in the same area. And then someone post a a number thats 20+ more than the rest of us. I guess you can say I like to raise the BS flag alot.

I guess I better buy one of those MAF resisters off ebay too. They have dynos that show gains of 20hp.

You have a point...I think there are false dyno sheets put out there for no other reason than to move a product faster and to essentially bilk those who don't know any better. Who posted the dyno that's 20+ everyone elses?...I'm not ball busting or anything...I just want to know. There are other variables that can skew numbers too...maybe they dyno'd a Federal Emissions instead of a PZEV or there were other mods on the car, etc. I wouldn't have issue with a lot of dyno results if we were informed about what exactly the car is running...that to me is what makes them shady.

You obviously didn't scroll down far enough on eBay because if you did, you'd of seen the MAF resistor that nets 45 HP!!11!!

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...78#post4998878

sounds exactly the same and if i was a betting man i would bet it works just as good.

save 110 bucks and get some home-engineering out of it.

Mazda 3 intake for 50$ is a waste of time and money , seriously just a good filter like k&n or AEM or fujita is 50$ and now add another 50 for the tubes and time to modify . The fujita also looks better and actually sits better in the engine bay then the mazda 3 . I got my fujita SRI for 179$ and its all worth the extra 80$ , better looking , fits bolt on , and probebly puts out better numbers on a dyno .

other than the fact that right before the filter it makes a 70 degree turn away from the engine the intake is essentially the same...

its all about marketing... i probably should of paid the extra 80 dollars for the license plate holder... damn it !

I wouldn't even put an eBay intake on my car specifically made for my car...much less spend the time to modify one to make it fit.

considering what an intake consists of it makes no sense to pay high dollar... other than the crappy filter it came with its all good. im sure youve never bought an ebay intake and compared it to one from autozone or even an aftermarket company... after making a 375mile trip (a trip that ive made about 12 times in my car (6 total back n forth) and about 25 times in the past 4 yrs) on cruise at 72mph I was getting in the low 30's and ended with a 33.7 mpg avg. considering when i usually make this trip under the same conditions i get 30-31 mpg there was a noticeable increase. I guess since my intake is from ebay i only got 3-4 mpg increase, maybe if i didnt get it from ebay it would be more like 10

oh dear, thats not a good, your check engine light should come on, if your install was perfect then you should reset the battery. (disconnect pump the brake so that the hydrolics suck the last bit of power out of the ecu capcitors.)

If you still got a light coming on i would ask Fujita for instructions.

if you have a scanner tool from canadian tire you should get the code.
hard to say what the fault could be.

Try some MAF cleaner. Also make sure the filter isn't too oily...if it is, replace it.

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i dont think theirs an airleak bec everything seems to be clamped down properly..
the engine light did not come on until an hour later or so..

additionally, i did unplug my battery again and made sure all clamps are done properly.. reconnected the battery and the light was gone then 20-30 km later it started goin on again!

ARGH

I read on another forum that a person had a similar problem, but was fixed by not pushing the filter on all the way. I assume if you put the filter to deep onto the pipe, it will limit air flow. Worth a try.
