That's me.

Well, I did a couple repositioning of the intake itself so I'm not sure exactly what is the real solution.

1. Repositioned the intake filter.
2. The MAF sensor. (what I think was the problem)
3. Pulled the intake piping out further from the coupler.

I somewhat chocked the intake filter and it was halfway in the pipe so I moved it out further. Pulled the intake out a little farther because I had it all the way down. Last thing I did was fix the MAF sensor.

What originally happened was the rubber ring that was on the MAF sensor wasn't tight on the MAF sensor at all so it wouldn't fit into the intake piping. I went and got some thicker, smaller rubber rings and put those on. It fit like a glove, and now I don't have it anymore. Been driving around for a week for about 500 miles so far.

did you disconnect battery or did the light go out right away by itself?? or did u have to wait a few hours for it to go away?

1. i pulled the filter further away so it clamps to the very beginning of the pipe..
2. u replaced the rubber on the MAS sensor?? i didnt do that, it seems to fit in pretty tightly to the pipe?
3. im not sure what ur saying but should i pull pipe out a bit so it doesnt go all the way in.... the rubber (that connects to ur engine?) < --- with the double clamp..

Hey Soopermark, any luck with the SRI? I just picked one up yesterday, installed today. The first time I started the car after the install was a little rough but now it fires right up. No CEL or anything. I didn't have an extension for my ratchet so I had to remove the battery to allow me to unbolt the stock air box. The only problem I have is that the bolt on the new 'vibration mount' is stripped or something and the nut won't go down all the way. I will play around with it later to see if I can fix that problem.

Haven't noticed too much of a change in power, but the sound is nice...This was my first aftermarket mod ever for a car (other than drop in filters) so I am proud of myself..

Hoping to see a slight improvement in fuel economy - Anyone with an SRI installed noticed any improvements?

Noise and a little bit of pep at the lowend...those are about all the improvements you can see from an SRI. Fuel economy can go up a tiny bit if you take it easy on the gas pedal.

Try swapping in a new air filter, inspect the MAF sensor for obvious damage. If there is none, give it a shot with some MAF cleaner. Then double check all of your connections. If that doesn't work, well...back to stock for you.

don tgive a shot of maf cleaner lol, our car is way to new for that one. just make sure all ur connections are good. Make sure you dissconect ur battery for a good 20mins and pump the brakes to discarge teh car. Then turn on a let idle for 20 mins then drive around slowly for a good 10mins. no reving!

So far with the injen intake i've gone 200miles no code (knock on wood )

It's the rubber ring on the MAF sensor. It's too thin and wont fit snug on the FUjita sri. You need to replace it with a thicker rubber ring; that should solve the SES problem. Been driving for about 650+ miles now and so far, no more problems.
