Small auto problem- lend your ear
Crypto, does your car ACTUALLY die-out? Or does it just SOUND like its going to? If it just sounds like its going to, I still say it might be normal. My car has sounded like that ever since I got it. Not all the time, just on really hot days. I think it may have something to do with the heat and humidity around here. Crypto, you live in Florida, right?
If it actually dies-out, then yeah, it may be your maf or at least something on the intake side. I had that problem as well. When I installed my SRI, I didn't tighten the the portion that connects to the TB. Later that week, my car kept stalling. When I checked it out, my plumbing had fallen off. With no readings from the MAS, the car kept shutting itself off.

no the car doesn't actually stall out. Just dips to like 400rpm, then jumps up again.
Only when i put the car in park after driving a while.
It never did it before, so it makes me think there is a new problem

Yeah, it could be then. When mine does (and still does once in awhile), it only dips to 600 rpms. Does it fluctuate back and forth to normal idle? If it dips for more than even a fraction of a second, then yeah, it don't sound normal.
I guess my problem is from hot weather and hard driving

and its supposed to be done every 30 k miles
and mine dipped from 700 to 350 ......has only done it once thou.......but it did it in N
i was told no because it all doesnt come out ...they have to suck it out of the torque converter......and it takes 16 quarts to flush it ...and they cost 5.--.....so the job only cost 40 bux.......

i think so becuz my sister used to have a blazer and it was leaking tranny fluid and when it got low the truck would die out........
Yea this doesn't sound normal... I'm at a little over 130k with no maintenance done besides changing my spark plugs, wires, and timing belt/water pump...(I'm in need of an O2 sensor as well)... I've never had that problem...

When you put the car in park the torqque converter could load down the engine if it's not slipping correctly. It's like trying to stop a manual car without fully releasing the clutch. I would strongly recomend a tranny flush. I would look for a shop that takes off the pan. Most automatic transmissions have a filter in the pan. If they don't take off the pan they can't change the filter.
