So, does anyone sell a nice oval exhaust tip for the ES yet?

The one that dealers sell for the GTS doesn't fit the ES. I like the tip I saw with the Works axle-back exhaust, but I don't want to spend that much $$$ and eliminate my muffler just for an oval exhaust tip. I did get the round, stainless exhaust tip from my dealer, but it just doesn't look the way I would like.

 

how does it not fit? there are people who have it on their es

When I bought my ES last July, I asked the guy in parts to order me an "exhaust finisher" as seen on the Mitsu web site. He did not have one in stock. Eventually, the part came in, and I went to pick it up. Instead of the tip shown on the web site, it was an oval shaped tip. I asked the guy about it, and he said this was the tip from the GTS. OK, it looked nice and I took it home to install it.

The problem I had is that the oval GTS tip that I got has an oval-shaped cross-seciton for its entire length, and I found that it didn't fit very well over my round tailpipe. The tip had a single hole and set screw to hold it in place, but it never fit very securely. Maybe I was missing something, but after putting the GTS tip on my tailpipe it looked like I had gone to Pep Boys, randomly picked up an exhaust tip, and installed it on my car.

If anyone out there has an ES with the GTS oval tip, please post a picture. Perhaps I needed another part to properly secure the GTS tip to my tailpipe.

I ended up returning the GTS tip and getting the round tip from Mitsu.

Anyway, what I think I want is an oval-shaped tip that has a round "stem" for attachment to the tailpipe. Something like this:
