Too many pages for me to read the thread but...
WTF, are you guys for real? Are you seriously considering buying that?
Haven't you guys been around before?

SprintBooster sends an improved signal to the ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) which is amplified or "boosted" so that throttle is noticeably more responsive throughout the entire rpm range.
330$ for a more responsive gas peddle?

WOW

ive posted the document, i dont really care for this device, its PROBABLY not worth the $. the point is no longer whether the item is worth the $ or not, the point is people should just say what they need to say about something and go on with their life. if someone wants to spend 330 on this let them!

if it turns out to be junk which it may be and probably will be then okay good. thanks to the guy for buying it and saving everyone time and money. he will return it / sell it on ebay and get most of his money back.

Hey man, I hate to be an *** about this but you're getting on my last nerve here.

And that's you're definition which is very let's say *** backwards. If I don't/can't get my cash back then that's a waste of money. Hell, it's my cash why should you be so concerned on what others do? I can see trying to give advice, but coming out of the blue and just ******* it before actually listening is extremely childish.
Why would I buy a product that does what my right foot can? My car is tuned so I have zero throttle issues, hence why I suggested people get the car tuned. Whether you try it is somewhat irrelevant, people have tried grounding kits and claimed they gained power but they actually haven't, they simply sense a change because they paid good money for it. It's the placebo effect.
If it's your cash, go spend it, don't get pissed at people who thinks it's a bad decision.

the only issue here is that the results will be purely subjective, saying as you have no way to actually test the results and measure a difference, other than a stop-watch for your 0-60 time, which apparently will not be effected by this mod. And just as most kids "feel" like their car gets faster when they put on an ebay chip, you will probably "feel" the same thing.

Hey Amby, not trying to be rude to u or nothing but every thread I read about new products for OUR lancers, u got to make 20 posts saying the same crap that it is a waste of OUR money. Just say it once and get on with your life. People like me are trying to find out about new products to see if they work and it wastes my time having to read 20 or so of u're posts about the same thing that it doesn't work and it's a waste of $$. Let us buy them and see how they work. It's our money and we work hard for it so let us find out the hard way. All I want is for a few members to buy them and see what they thought, not some guy who hasn't even tested it or doesn't even drive a. Thanks

I am not trying to educate anyone, lol I am no prof, nor would i want to be....
try to calm down, a back and forth between forum members, *moderators included, is a good thing. It spurs on more debate. its very healthy to have different ideas and different positions. Myself and Amby can have two different positions, what makes things great is that someone can come along with a differing point of view than either of us. Thus adding a more dynamic conversation.

~~~~~~~~~~~
its alot better then dead threads that say
person 1: Hey I tried that new product,
person 2: I like it too, bahhhh
dead thread!
~~~~~~~~~~

Its ok to have an opinion, so long as we conduct ourselves in a respectful manner to all sides....

Besides, I love amby, we are 2nd cousins 5 times removed lol j/k

I hear ya Evo, trust me, I do. But, when I hear some kid trying to tell me how to spend my hard earned cash I kind of get vexed. Oh trust me, I welcome advice, but Amby can be a bit to abrasive and not constructive. To come off on most of your members like that should be restricted and till this day I wonder how he became a moderator. Most mod's moderate and not try to upset their members, Amby on the other hand ceases to realize this and like's to go for broke. Hell, I've even seen a admin tell Amby to chill a few times.

On another note, I'll be posting my results once I install the device.

Amby is a member of evolutionm.net . his task is to keep order and rule enforcement. He is allowed to wear both hats. Every moderator is different. If you disagree with anyone here, its your decision to ignore or engage. its better to engage and express your opinion. So long as we all do it in a respectful manner.

That aside, there was an interesting test that I am attempt to organize that may work to legitimize the products claims. I will need some local volunteers but it should be interesting. The idea may fail, or succeed, but for the sake of getting more public feed back I think it would be fitting. There are two separate tests I am going to suggestion everyone feel free to chime in and offer more suggestions. Now i am talking about the CVT equipt lancer of course. For me, I think the response of the car / CVT is improved times over with this mod. I am positive that i can sit someone in a Lancer 2.0 with S.B. vs. a lancer 2.4 lancer without SB and have them still perfer the drive in the 2.0. Since the cars are almost identical in looks, I am pretty sure it will be a blind test. That one is a challenge, but interesting to see. And I will pick out people who are not tuner savvy and could care less. a few general managers at a few mitsu in the local area come to mind.

The other test will be get 4 or 6 lancer TLC members together, out fit half the cars with the sprint booster and have them complete a simple city course together. Since we always love to cruise around anyway.

just random ideas, and i will be interested to engage in it if the right elements line up for donations or sponsorship.

If it's a waste of money, why wouldn't I post? It's fine saying that I should just post and move on but if people are saying things that are blatantly wrong, it needs to be addressed.

Some kid? I'm on my second university degree, I'm hardly a kid. If I was abrasive, I'd do what some people have done and just call it stupid.
Moderators are allowed to have opinions and are allowed to post. We're not slaves to the forum.

I think this statement is what the main point of contention is with this device - there are no results from it.

I (or anybody else) obviously can't tell members how to spend their money...if you think a cupful of million dollar unicorn **** in your gas tank is going to give you 500 more HP, then go for it.

That PDF review of the Sprint Booster posted earlier is essentially proof that it does indeed work as advertised. However, going back to my first sentence, there aren't any empirical results from it. So, one can spend $300 just to get the feeling of quickness, when, in reality, the car you're driving is still moving slower than old people fark. A coke head won't spend $300 on a baggie of flour just so it feels like he's snorting drugs...rest assured that $300 is going to get spent on the real stuff. Now watch this! -

A gear head won't spend $300 on a chip just so it feels like he's going faster...rest assured that $300 is going to be spent on the real stuff.

There's my view of the situation. No abrasiveness or personal attacks required Like Evosoul said - a thread going back and forth about a topic is great for the forum, but it shouldn't get to the point where that thread becomes argumentative and no longer informative.
