AEM COLD AIR or AEM SHORT RAM?
Does brand of Intake really matter? I really dont want to spend like $200 for a CAI from AEM. I could get a no namer from e-bay for like $60. I have a friend with a CL who got a no namer and hasn't had a single problem. I have a K&N cone filter that I would of course use to replace the no name filter but isn't CAI just a damn pipe? How much of a difference can brand make?
I had a no name intake on my Camaro and it seemed to work fine. It wasn't smog legal though, because it could not use one of the vacuum hoses. And the difference might (maybe, maybe not) be engineering and dyno testing. The difference to me is that I want performance. If you just want looks and a cool "whoosh" sound, go for the $60 one for sure. But as for gains, you really don't know what you're getting.
well if someone wants a good price on a short ram, i would be willing to sell my RRM intake. Im returning the car to stock, so i would need just ONE piece of the stock intake from whoever purchases it from me, so i can put my stock back on.
i broke the piece that the MAS is connected to in haste (kinda impatient sometimes
