Straight piping is without a muffler. "Straight pipes" to a muffler is a catless exhaust.
3'' all the way back? Guess what, you will have so much turbo lag you'll never get to see all the power you are making when driving on the streets. Dyno nuymbers are one thing, USABLE power is quite another.
Back pressure is also important for turbo applications. You don't want your car to be painfully slow from 0 to 5,000k rpm right?
*Edit: sorry, forgot to add this. Just get some cheap ebay muffler. They are super loud. the big names try to not engineer really really loud exhausts because most people don't like to get pulled over every mile

sorry i just reread my post and it may have sounded a little mean. I didn't mean it to be. yeah I think just going wide open and cheap muffler will produce the most decibels. Wouldn't you rather prefer a sound tuned exhaust though for that deep intimidating sound? especially if you are turbo and have the power to back up the noise?

I want to see a video of him blowing he exhaust off the car!
So you drive a slow car but you want to be as loud and noticeable as possible? That's the definition of rice isn't it? Anyways, a straight pipe will be the loudest by far. If you want really loud, run the pipe out the side of the car so it's basically an extended downpipe.
OT, you don't gain power by having the loudest system possible, you don't even need a straight pipe necessarily. While in theory less restrictions make more power in a turboed car, the difference can be minute and you risk causing off-boost issues (ie. car is great in boost, slower out of boost).

why try to get noticed and heard when you're gonna have a blow off valve sneezing all over the place?
when i wanna be heard, i spool then shift. you get stares without having everyone in your immediate area pissed @ you for annoying them
not flaming either. im curious.
