That makes absolutely no sense.

C'mon guys, you need to stop posting this misinformation. This is all wrong. "Seriously guys, what the ****?"

You never ever want backpressure. In a motor with a turbo or without. Period. Say it with me.

In an NA motor, you want velocity, you do not want backpressure. Optimal velocity in the exhaust (NA motor) increases VE by the scavenging effect. Google it if you don't believe me.

With a turbo motor, the job of the exhaust is to spin the turbo and after it has done that, it is literally waste. Any restriction afterwards will lose power. 3" should suffice for anything under 500whp. For the power level I estimate you would hit, 2.5 should be good. Read corky bell if you don't believe me, Google that if you don't believe him.

On another note; The thread title in itself makes me cringe.

I'm not here to be a dick, but you guys are talking in a very condescending tone to the OP all while you yourselves have no idea what you are talking about.

Lets learn together and stop bashing.
omg i love you (no home) haha

yes I know how good HKS is, and i am actually now considering them, price wise. this muffler to be specific, unless HKS's other universal mufflers produce more power...?

video doesnt work, says is private, but nice man. what i meant was, do any of the other 3 universal muffler series from HKS produce more power? and personally, i dont like the look of a carbon fiber muffler, thats why i chose the stainless one or I may go with the Hi Power univ.

Those HKS mufflers aren't going to be as loud as you want but they'll offer an aggressive sound and they are some of the best quality mufflers I've seen. Please go with one of the HKS and not a rice cannon and please be considerate to others. Just because you want to grab attention doesn't justify annoying others. You already have 2 citations for noise violations and it is just arrogant and childish to sit here and say you don't care if you annoy others. You'll look back on this choice in the future...

haha i probably will go with HKS, I just have to wait a bit longer to save the money. i dont want a rice cannon, thats why i was asking opinions and possibly for videos/sound clips. and as long i dont get points on my license, its not THAT important to me. now speeding tickets, yes i definitely care...dont want my license taken away! haha

Really should look at it in a different way... Every dollar you pay the court you could use in your car... That is the only deterrent that works for me when I am driving. I have a lawyer that takes my speeding tickets to court and gets them reduced to parking violations but I see it as 90-200 dollars a ticket is 90-200 dollars that could have gone into one of the cars.

Buschur racing actually switched out their 3" exhaust on their EVO with a 3.5" or 4" and it lost power.

Are you turbo right now? No, moreover with a turbo, the turbo itself creates a bit of backpressure so to speak because it's moving just a massive amount of air. Increasing the flow is a good idea, sure, but the difference between a catted setup and a catless setup is insignificant.
