this just happened again 2 days ago. but at least the car didn't die (car was off but i couldn't turn it on)

this incident happened 3 times now since i bought the car . went to dealership many times and they said everything is normal..... buy a honda... something that works
go to a different dealer. this is actually an issue mentioned in a mechanic's monthly flyer that we get. they are supposed to replace both fobs with brand new if they lose signal ever

The only thing i see wrong with the CVT is the initial acceleration off the line. If you ask me its not the CVT's fault it is the strength of the signal sent to the computer from the time that you press the gas. People have to realize that this car like many other cars these days doev not have a throtle cable and on a tranny that is completely ran by a computer you are going to have a delay between inputs just like the computer at your house. thats how i see it, just as the computer at your home you can do things to help the speed just as you can do with the car.

the issue with the cvt is about performance or lack of so since that isnt one of your concerns you should be ok.

^basically when you step on the gas expecting it to move, it just growls and groans at you and takes it own little time.

and yes, the DE does come with a cd player, which plays mp3 cds

I've had my 09 GTS for a year and 4 months now. The only regrets so far are aesthetic. And easily changeable.

Performance wise, you hit the nail on the head. It can always be faster if it had a turbo, or was an evo, but really thats things that you can live without with it being your daily driver. I always swing back and forth because i love the looks, so i'd love it to be turbo too, but its also my daily driver, so i'd rather just wait until i finally buy my house, and then pick up an old 2G awd DSM and build that. I find them to be just as pretty :P

Looks wise, the only changes i think most people make are blacking out the front bumper, relocating the front license plate to under the headlight (if you are in a state that requires it). Maybe the Rear bumper lip too if you can find a good price. After that its really still a great looking daily driver that already has most of the things you'd want. All of the above mentioned things are really just to make it more EVO like.

i enjoyed my 09 lancer gts for about a year and then realized how great the deals were on the still new 08 evos and decided to trade in for one, it was a huuuugee upgrade in performance, i just wish i had my sleek mitsu navi back
