Sigma Speed Intake - Any Info?

Hey recently japanparts.net added a Sigma Speed "sports air filter" intake. I don't know anything about it, it looks like its carbon fiber and pretty sweet. I'd like to know what type of gains and sound it has, but I'm almost tempted to just buy it on faith knowing its probably a pretty sweet JDM part and I haven't seen anyone using it...

If anyone has any info on it please let me know. Right now I'm running an Injen CAI and really like it but I'm willing to drop a few bills to check this out.

Looks like a variant of the V1 RRM intake, just the MAF section and a cone filter... how much is it? If it's the same price as all the other SRI intakes, just get one that you know isn't going to cause problems.
Regardless of brand, it's pretty much been established that SRI's on the 08+ lancers don't do much as far as hp/tq(Prone to heavy heat-soaking due to being right next to the exhaust manifold), but they will produce a lot of noise if that's what you're going for.
If you want legitimate gains, and a less obnoxious noise, save up for a Cold air intake - Injen or AEM have them.

Read more carefully. I already have an Injen CAI. And no, this is clearly a lot more than the V1 RRM SRI. I know the RRM one is just the MAF and a cone filter, but this thing has a big *real* carbon fiber enclosure around the filter - which I'd imagine might block out some of the heat. And honestly, there's only a few HP difference between the gains from a CAI and SRI in a Lancer. If I sacrifice 3 HP for a nice looking unique JDM filter which sounds amazing, I wouldn't mind. I'm just curious to find out more about it, there's nothing like this on the market for Lancers.

Here's another picture japanparts sent me. It's $275 and $50 for shipping from Japan to my door.

My bad, didn't read you already had the CAI, sorry. Yeah I know there's not that huge of a difference, was just throwing that out there.
If it's sound and looks you want, (personally) I wouldn't spend the 325$ just for that, but hey... it's up to you. It does look cooler than your standard intake.

My only concern would be the enclosure restricting airflow, and possible CEL issues.

However I don't think anyone on these forums will be able to tell you anything about it. So you'll most likely be the guinea pig for us on this one. If you have the money I say go for it!

honestly keep the injen CAI, that intake looks like a home made welded maf adapter and screws from home depot jammed into a carbon fiber filter....

edit: also i highly doubt anyone here has that intake. as the other options available are cheaper and easier to get so i dont think anyone has thought to go this route.
