This is version 7 of Tephra's Evo ROM. Tephra is a member here who (along with other members) has taken the Evo ROM, disassembled it and modified it to improve existing features/tables and add features/tables that were not there.

Mainly this one is always suggested because it has had the most dissasembling done to it and as such has the most tables defined and the most tuning potential.

So is it just a rom we load onto our stock ecu? Or do we need an evo 8 ecu swap?

No evo ecu needed thats the beauty of it. It gives us all the benifits of the evo ecu swap without the need for the actual hardware swap just a simple software swap

Thinking about doing this as it will allow me to run nlts as well but do I need an actual clutch switch from an evo or do I just need some kind of spring loaded switch?

nope. just the clutch switch you have already. if im right, our lancers came with an upper and a lower switch installed already. i think the upper would be the one you would want to use when you get this all set up.
