Pin 43 on the Evo ECU is the CLUTCH SWITCH INPUT. This input is triggered when the clutch is depressed, causing the ECU to reference the Stationary Rev Limit seen in EcuFlash. The Stationary Rev Limit value in EcuFlash is referenced only when the clutch is depressed, not when the car is not moving or in neutral.

A signal wire coming from Pin 2 on the clutch switch needs to be ran to Pin 43 on the ECU harness. I believe there is an EvoM member in the EcuFlash threads that sells pins for adding extra wires to the ECU harness. I can't recall who off the top of my head.

evo 8 ecu questions

ok if the evo 8 ecu works for the lancer, do I need a fuel management system, I called road race and they said I needed a standalon system. I need help on just this part of turboing my car.

If i get the evo 8 ecu
440 cc injectors

will this be my fuel management system?

and do I need to replace the maf sensor on my car to make this work?

I have a TD05HR 16G 9.8 T turbo. Please help!!!

I have a 16g and I will be using 440's and a walbro 255 you will need to upgrade your fuel pump. I have a evo 8 ecu but to start my tuning I will be using the stock ecu with rescaled load values

i might do the same setup on my Galant; i think you might mave to use the MAF Translator built for an evo 8, not too sure though

Yeah thats what I heard to, but the only problem is trying to find an evo from a scrap yard. anybody know where you can find a maf sensor?

Oh if you need an evo 8 ecu I know this place that sells them and they do the tuning for like $99.00 call speed innovations! 1-800-773-8656
if they don't have the special anymore tell them that Steven J refered you to them and they should give it to you. So all I need is the maf sensor and I should be good

Hey Guess what I just found out, if you have a 4g94 or 4g93 motor the 4g63 head will fit on those blocks with a few modifications. So I think im just going to do that instead. The guy I spoke to said once you do that its like having an evo 8, plus you get all the modifications that an evo 8 will require. This is freaking bad ***
