You can use ANY ECU as long as it's from an Evo 8.

-8- You now need to add the following values from your stock Lancer ROM tables to the matching tables in the Evo ROM to have a proper idle and fuel trims: Injector Scaling, Injector Latency Values, MAF Scaling, MAF Size.

By "Injector Latency Values", do you mean "Injector Battery Voltage Latency Compensation"? Because I can't seem to find Injector Latency Values

Yes. They are one in the same. By adjusting the voltage values you either increase or decrease the latency of your injectors. These are the values you adjust when you swap to bigger injectors.

you can use ANY evo ecu, as long is not MIVEC....
a friend is runing 20psi with an evo5 ecu on a 4g93

a good thing also is to change the MAF an MAP for the evo one... evo maf detects boost

WRONG.

The Evo and Lancer MAP sensor are the exact same part. Switching to an Evo MAP sensor would be the same as replacing your stock MAP with another Lancer stock MAP.

Also, it's not the MAF that detects boost. It's the MAP sensor that reads the pressure in the manifold.

You could. You would need to scale the injectors down to 232 and get the latency values running right. You would also need to replace all the MAF values with the stock Lancer MAF values. You would then need to lower the amount of fuel in the fuel tables so you don't run overly rich. The Evo ECU is meant more for a turbo Lancer than a N/A Lancer, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.

this is interesting lol .. i had posted this a while back and you said it was not possible essentially.. Good to hear you got it working tho.. Your engines are similar and most mitsu engines are similar with coil packs and injector setup as well as timing electronics.. It is possible for autos to run the ecu in conjunction with your stock ecu which controls the tranny.. I have been doing it for long time with no ill effects.. My original post was https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/la...ed-lancer.html

The map sensor off an evo X is a 3 bar map sensor by the way but you have to patch the evo ecu to run it properly but its available if u search the ecuflash section under evo.

It requires alot of tuning to run this ecu NA by the way and you probably wont perfect it..
It requires a lot of wiring but its not hard.

I've already broke 2 cv joints... my 2 step now its disabled... but my car is a mirage, with evo 5 ecu reflashed... and my 2step was about 4700rpm and with my foot down the floor it boost like 6 or 7 psi, my cv joint can't handle it... maybe less rpm...

The 2-step requires additional wiring from the clutch pedal position switch to the ECU harness connector. It utilizes a wire that the Lancer does not have. Without that signal wire to the ECU, the 2-step does not work. If people want the info I'll post the instructions, but I don't have any plans to add it into my Lancer. I'm more than happy with feathering my clutch out on launch.
