Quote: Thats sweet man!!! Another question, will this swap make it easier to use a VTA BOV?? I really dont care personally but who knows maybe down the road I might decide to.
Having a properly setup BOV is the better way to run VTA. If you have a recirc valve and try to run it VTA the softer spring will open at idle or before letting off the throttle to shift, causing rich AFRs. A properly setup BOV will only open when you shift gears to vent the excess boost.

However, using the Evo ECU you can setup your engine to run speed density, but I'm not gonna go into detail on it. If you want to know what it is or how to set it up, search through the EcuFlash threads in the Evo section. You get to remove the MAF, but it makes tuning much more difficult.

I don't see why not as long as the CEL is off.
If you guys have inspection also you will not pass (turbo)

I will have to get smogged/inspected in the next month or two

It will pass OBD-II emissions 100%. No CEL = pass. I just had my emission test here in Illinois 2 months ago when I was still on my Lancer ECU. Took all of about 3 minutes for the guy to hook up to the OBD-II interface, turn the key on and off a few times, start the car, turn the car off and hand me my "pass" readout. I couldn't help but laugh as I boosted away pulling out onto the street.

I thought mitsu programed the vin into the ecu, and if it didnt match up you wouldnt pass... That was something I looked into at the begining of the year when my t-belt snapped and I was forced to swap my motor, I was going to do the 4g64 swap but everything I read said you couldn't pass inspection because the vin# wouldnt match in the ecu... I was watching the screen on there computer when I had my inspection done and I'm sure I saw it say checking vin# ect...

Tactrix sells the newer cables and stopped selling the 1.3 way back then.
Find the 1.3 on the for sale forums. You have to look out they sell quick
