Ecuflash
Ecuflash
I'm sure there are alota posts of this but when you .reflash your Ecu what gains come from it? I have a CVT GTS would I be able to redline it? or a what happens I can't find too much on flashing also is it the same thing buying a piggyback or is that something to add on to a ecu flash if someone could answer my questions that'd be awesome thanks
I had my 2010 GTS Sportback flashed at Works. Best money I've spent. I never dyno'ed it, but it's very apparent, the cams kick over earlier, more bottom end, and overall just quicker than stock. Very recommended.
The tune will cost you $300
Any future mods that you do that require a retune will run you $50 each time you want them to retune the computer for your added mods.
I have it dont to my 2010 GTS with CVT & it def. made a nice difference. The car will pull harder throughout. I've probably put on over 20K since the tune with zero problems.
I drove out to Ohio & met up with one of their guys that worked for them & he did it on the spot. Call or text WORKS to see if they have an associate in the area that can do the work for you on the spot. It sucks not having your computer for a few days otherwise.

IMO a tune would be better. You cannot do both at the same time.
My 2010 GTS with CVT is also my daily driver....
I have the WORKS tune running 93 octane
WORKS adjustable rear sway bar (highly recommended!)
Injen SRI with the Ralliart Intake Tube
Pulstar Pulse Plugs
Magnaflow axle back exhaust
RPW Lightweight Crank Pulley.
All of this has helped the sluggishness of the CVT to the point where it is actually fun. I get better mileage by quite a bit if I can keep my foot out of it. But even when I hammer the hell out of it....I never get less than low 20's.
As long as you have everything done to the car that you are going to do.....get a tune. Be it RPW's or WORKS. I have heard good things on both.
The RPW is for those who are techy & know what they are doing & WORKS is easy enough when they do the work for you LOL.
I now have over 43K on my ride. I have had zero issue with ANY of the parts I put on.
I would have to see if I can run my car to redline with the CVT when using the paddle shift.....thought I could, but it's been a while since I really got on it. I usually have the kids with me & I drive like a saint when they are with me....safety 1st!
