Question Vehicular Tard Mode (after hitting ABS)

So, I've hit ABS quite a few times in the car--overzealous braking in track/autocross shenanigans and such. Usually, I keep going, but today I had to make a quick stop in traffic and came to a complete stop afterwards.

When I went to take off again, the car was just totally gutless for a couple seconds--totally strange. It snapped out of it after a couple seconds and started acting normally again, but what the heck? Is this how the CVT's programmed to act after an emergency stop or is there something wrong with the Lulzcer?

I got a "service brake system soon" message this weekend, but I think that's just from the brake fluid being a bit low. I haven't gotten it again ever since I topped that off. (New pads, rotors and fluid are happening soon regardless.)

In my experience, the CVT has always been a bit sluggish in the low RPMs, especially from a dead stop, when driven in standard Drive mode.

Yeah--I expect sluggish, but this was really sluggish.

Lots of people report this happening every once and a while. It's happened to me a few times. Sometimes from a stop the CVT seems to forget wtf it's supposed to do and bogs down for a couple seconds, as if it's trying to take off in 3rd gear or something. Doesn't seem to be any fix but luckily for most people it's pretty rare. I only know of one case where it was happening consistently enough to be reproduced at the dealership.

Ah. Yeah--I figure it has to be something weirdo in the programming. "Oh, you just made a panic stop. Better keep it slow."

Have you changed your CVT fluid?

Yep. Pretty recently--maybe like a month ago.
