Fan running after engine switched off
Hey guys hopefully I have posted this in the correct place. When I switch my car off the fun goes mental for 10-15 seconds and when i switch the ignition to on the fan turns on and I haven't started the engine yet. This has only recently stated happening. Has anyone had experience with this sort of thing happening. I have a Lancer CG 4g94 VRX or OZ rally for those in the US.
Thanks in advanced

i have seen a car do this... i assumed the previous owner had hotwired it and never looked into it since the customer didn't complain about overheating... if i had access to the diagram i could point you in a decent direction possibly but idk about lancers and especially foreign ones... so off the top of my head i cant say much.. unplug the fuse and see if it still runs... it will tell you if its apart of the fan circuit or if something else is powering the fan koeo
I see possible the need for a FCM replace but if you hard wire (maybe previous owner did this?) the fans to be controlled by the lets say ignition switch to the ON position, then this will cause fans to run. I recently ditched the FCM all together and have a cut on/of switch so I ultimately control the fans.
With that if I leave the fans on (which I usually do) the fans will run a few seconds after I pull the keys out of the ignition itself. If this was done by the previous owner you should see a ground wire running after the FCM to the body, to either fan.
If no hard wire was done by previous owner then FCM is your problem.
