Has anyone run a Lancer with E85? I know that when it came up in discussion on the Subaru forums, there was usually talk of modifying the fuel system to use it. Can you just dump it in and go? Last I heard, only the "FlexFuel" vehicles could use either gasoline or E85 from the factory.

Anyone know anything, since I'm mostly guessing?

i posted on the last page that i have dsm 450's and some upgraded line in my lancer and i am running e85. i pulled 115whp and 127ft lbs. before the injectors and line i was running half and half with out a problem. the only line i upgraded was from the fire wall to the fuel rail because it had the plastic center and e85 does not like plastic.

These are good numbers. Supposly e85 bumps the power about 5%. But not 100% sure.

no, i forgot to mention that i have an afc neo in it. i had it dyno tuned by the best local performance shop. they only did 4 pulls and everytime it got better numbers. they just ran out of time because they are really busy.

That's amazing. Good to hear that you were able to extract that kind of whp safely with e85. Makes me wish we had it here in VA.

That's not bad at all... especially for an untuned setup. You'll see that number jump big time once you get afr's and your timing in check. Try to do your pull in 4th next time. Gives you a more accurate reading as it's a closer 1:1 ratio gear.
