Can someone suggest me an engine oil brand and type for my ´99 Lancer GLXi (1.600cc/fuel inyection) with a 4G92 engine, 75.000 miles?

I`ve heard that a sintetic one should be the best option but I´m not pretty sure.

castrol gtx for cars over 75,000 miles... i used it in my 88 sentra and she loved it

 

We are not reciving Castrol in my country since a few months.....is it Sintetic or mineral?

 

than use mobil 1, its good **** and works well. Far as the castrol gtx goes, not the synthetic version... its the regular version.

 

+75k in mileage. Don't use syth, unless you have new valve seals and piston rings.

Syth is cleaner and thinner a bit. Otherwise, you'll start burning oil out of the tailpipe.


I use valvoline. I used to go for Mobil 1, but cost of it starting to hike.

 

Men, I was visiting some dealers and the only thing you can buy around here (besides the national brand-wich I do not recomend) is Shell-Helix and Lubrax (Petrobras oil Brand). Any suggestions between these two?

 

never heard of lubrax but if shell-helix is from shell as in the gas station, than use that.

 

Yea, I´m using it right now. I think Im gonna stay with this one.
