I'm about to do an engine swap for a friend on his '08 Lancer 2.0 N/A. My current question is, will an '05 2.0 Lancer engine fit? I'm fine with swapping manifolds and sensors, etc., but will it work otherwise?

The 4G63 in '05 is not a bit compatible with the 4B11 in the '08+ Lancer.

I'm back... I now have a source on a 2012 2.0 lancer engine. Will this fit my '08? I've been trying to research it but would feel better about checking with you guys before I buy. Thanks again.

Would a 2012 2.0 Lancer engine also fit into a 2009 2.0 lancer? I'm also doing an engine swap.
I imagine it would but would like to ask first, just to be safe.
