Unfortunately the guy doing the reflashes was a turd (to put it nicely) and wanted to claim the reflash maps were his property, not RRM's. Long story short, they discontinued the reflash for the pigyback.

so, what other ways are there to kick our rev limiter another notch or two...lets be honest, 6k is kinda weak, but at least we got a little torque for it.

i think with this mod you will get the most kick ever. your rev limiter i think increase to about 6700 rpms not shure but... i think pistons and rings could boost that up a lil bit more... but if you want to kick it up... get a stage 3 or 4 from RPW

The reflash raised it to 6900, but that's no longer around. There are other ways to raise the rev limiter. Run a search for "rev limiter" and set it do it will find posts a year old and you might find the other ways. It's hard, though, since it's electronic.

Your real limiting factor on rev limit (within reason) is the valvetrain, not the pistons or rods so much. Though honestly you do run the risk of spinning a rod bearing if your crankshaft/rods aren't getting enough lubrication, I think you're more likely to push the head past its limits than the bottom end if you're naturally aspirated.

Andrew, so you don't think balancing engine parts would help much in running high RPMs safely?

yes, if you're planning to stay on the upper rpms constantly, not just ripping through the rpm band. Then again, you have to put tons of mileage + constant upper rpm startosphere.

For example, when I do autocross, road course events, and canyons, I usually stay between 3000 and 6000

Assuming your springs, retainers and valve stems could handle it, balancing would definitely help. Last I remember reading though our motor was balanced from the factory. Obviously it's not as precise as an aftermarket crankshaft (or basically entire bottom end), but again, I don't think this is where people are going to run into problems first. Look to the Mirage for comparisons. It may be difficult to find examples of high revving 4g93's though.

so if i get the same thing as Uranium did? would i be safe? should i go down to stage 1? I really don't want to deal with air and fuel and putting in an AFC or SAFC

I don't know of anyone who has done a stage 1. Maybe Paul, but I honestly don't remember. I don't think he's using a fuel controller. If you're going to go through the hassle of replacing the cam I don't really understand why you wouldn't want to have tunable fuel as well.

How much do you think is a high revving Mirage. Our limiters kick in fairly low too, compared to most cars out there, like the ITR or Eclipse. 7200 I believe is our rev limiter, even though my car and its limited mods right now seems to make power to 6200 - 6400 RPMs.

Bottom line: if you wanna rev to 8 or 9 grand, get another car, cuz it wont happen with ours.

IMO cams are a great ivestment, of course after you have done the base mods. From seeing an RPW stage 3 NA cam in action, I fully believe in the power to be had from a good dialed in cam setup.
