you guys thin that we will ever have a CARB legal header?...im just a little frustrated that i got a ticket for my header last weekend and i took it off along with my exhaust and now my car doesnt feel like my car it feels like it just got nuetered...like i cant go on anymore...lolz....but CARB leGAL would be nice and i would pay a good chunk of money for it just to have it againthe power to be able to shove carb legal papers to an officer and just have him stunned cus he cant so shiet

 

not gonna happen bro to make it carb leagle youd need to leave the cat in to leave the cat in restricts power
plus to leave a cat in youd have to have what basicly was a stock header maybe with a high flow cat in it still wouldnt be as efective

did you have the head shield over your header?

 

nope i didnt pt the heat sheild on...kinda doesnt go on top of the header...but i wish i would have tried to fit it on there somehow

i think the ehat shield fits in the header ont he top they welded on those brakets
you shoudl try and mod the heat shield to go on there somehow then it would look pretty stock if you wanted to get really seriouse you could paint the top of the header by the flange and everythign like a rusty color reall sleeper like

 

yeah it is impossible to make a CARB legal header as it replaces the cat. any device that replaces a cat by definition cannot be smog legal.

oh well.

 

Then the damn laws should change, after the header install, our car really isn't a gross polluter, I mean come on.

 

In addition to this, someone should really create a mil eliminator that actually rids us of the catylst cels. Wow a product that actually does what it's supposed to do? What a crazy idea.

 

so if i put the heatshield on just like the stock header, maybe i could fool the cops?

 

DC Sports and Flowmaster make 50 state legal headers. Theyre just twice the price.

 

On a serious note. I actually remember this thread back when it first started (was a member here back then).
