Question RPW Quad Throttle Body

I was wondering what the pros / cons of using the Quad throttle body as opposed to a low psi turbo were I read that with port polish you can gain 70% with uprated cams and valve springs please elaborate on this option for all us noobs

well. Not sure the kit is for the 4g94, possibly could work but I think they may have to tweak it. Plus new cams and valve springs aren't readily available. RPW will be bringin da ruckus tho once the US Lancer hits australia, (Last month maybe?) They need to custom fit some parts up before they are a serious viable option.

no a brief primer on pros and cons of na/tc. Na should make the engine last longer but requieres more money for lower hp output. TC is not as expensive with bigger results but also involves lots of moving parts and the opportunity to have something break is higher.

QUAD tb

Don't forget about the engine mgmt system you will also need with the TB.

It's true what was said above. The engine will last longer with NA mods. You have to decide where you want to spend your dollars.

quad throttle bodies...MmmMmM. uhm in most cases, the MAS will not be used you are gonna need some kind of stand alone fuel management system to manage all this. gains are really nice. i know on the v6 galant/eclipse, the 6 pack gives out an estimated 50% gain. and to top things off, hell if u want, u can still run forced induction with a couple mods to the new airbox.

if the motor can handle it....thats not the question...the question is...what are you going to use to control the motor. with a quad TB AND a turbo you need a hell of a fuel system for out of boost running and in boost running.

Oh lordy. Engine managment is the least to worry about (let alone costing a couple of grand to insure proper tuning). You've got major fuel tuning (injectors, FPR, fuel pump) to worry about with so much additional air you're going to be moving let alone figuring out how to route the piping to the two ends of the RPW intake manifold. I doubt there'd be enough room for the two.

No Iwould probably just do the quad throttle and leave it all motor and a 60 shot NOS if I need it. I just want a nice car that responds well for now till I do the turbo right or who knows maybe just the quad for good I think 200 whp is enough for a daily driver besides with a quad you can do it yourself and turbo you may need "professional supervision

Oh and do you guys have a suggestion for a nice engine management to manage this application for my lancer all opinions would be appreciated with this unorthodox route

The Haltech is what we use and seel to the USA for our qauds and twin throttle body systems.

We can do either a twin or qaud system for the car right now - for pricing contact a RPW dealer.

that would run about 3k....alltogether...where a turbo is 4k alone with out fms or intercooler....I'd say N/A is the way to go...remove all cats too... maybe it will get 5 more hp ...i figured up around 210 hp alltogether...that would be awesome...need a heavy duty torque converter though for those auto's

My friend who also drives a lancer wants to know if it's safe to run nos with the stock engine and no mods whatsoever?
