Sounds like a good product..but I would definitely wait see if this type turbo is for real and dependable. It reminds me of the time I was going to buy electrical water pump to replace my stock one... Just too new of a product to say whether it's worth the money time.

what? you have an EVO IV and you made this incredibly retarded semi validation of an electric turbo? by nature it is not going to work. This has been covered here before. search for electric turbo.

just to end this topic.....a turbo COMPRESSES air...a fan sucks air...or like pushes air...it does not and cannot compress it....you need a turbine for that. so that is a POS.

Let's get 2 THINGS straight.... 1- I NEVER said I would put in on my IV 2- IF there is way help with spool up of the compressor then why not a electrical assisted turbine? Problably be able to cure the Turbo Lag on larger compressors. And finally why write off something different just because it's sounds whack or is different from what YOU may have tried before....With narrow vision we would have the airplane, man on the moon, etc.... If you really read my post I said it's too EARLY to make sound judgement on the product but I never said go out buy right away.
PEACE

I would think the RRM vent does more than this 2 inch circumfrence fan. What really pisses me off is the seller is going by Detroitracing. Even the crackheads in Detroit know better than to get this "hairdryer sans handle."

NEVER MIND my last post....I went back to read the AD more carefully....I didn't even see the pic at the end on first pass...My apologizes...everyone. I can admit when I was wrong...I would definitely not use as a turbo ...it's plastic for one! It looks like a mini ejector we use for confined space rescue

the only thing that you can do electrically is buy a vortech style super charger and instead of having a pully spin the turbine you get a crazy electric motor...probably a 50 amp high RPM electric motor with insane response time to drive the super charger...what is it...super chargers spin slower then turbos right...i think like 80,000 RPM...i dunno...sumthing like that would work..then you would need a unheard of electronic control unit to control the electric motor in relation with the car's motor RPM's and throttle and fuel. then all of the added fuel components that go along with any mods to a vehicle. oil lines to cool the turbine bearing....blah blah blah. the only true benifet is that it would be a universal application and can be put on any car...if there is room under the hood. all you have to do is run piping, and the fuel stuff. ok i'm done..
