if u got hte AEM EMS would that replace the stock ecu??
or would you still have to get a piggyback like the rrm one?
and would you be able to do all the tuning you would need for a turbo lancer?
i know its a lot of questions but i got a turbo on the way and need to know what to get to do the tuning

the AEM EMS is a complete replacement and does not require the piggyback. you can use it to tune for whatever you want to do to your engine. turbo/NA/whatever...

If you have to ask questions about the EMS, do not get it. Trust me.

I got an SAFC but I keep the datafile with the mods off until I feel like going faster. But when I turn it on I notice that it takes a few miles for it to kick in. I know it takes effect because the engine has a deaper growl too it and it just really feels like it has a smoother stronger power band. My issue is that maybe after 20 miles or 1/2 hour it seems to just go back to normal. I was wondering if it is possible for the ECU to correct itself and establish its OEM settings?

as for what hobie said, trust him. i remember his complaining. and for you 03ozlancer, youre not initializing the s-afc while youre driving are you? and the way the safc can be set up, you can adjust the high and low throttle settings so that you dont need to "turn it on and off" just set the low throttle settings for everyday driving and then high throttle for when you feel like roasting some ***.
