Have anyone saw any performance chips and if yes please tell me where, how much, and also if its on the web please gimme the address, this post will be useful for other users as well cause we all know that chips can give you up to 40% hp or whatever.

haven't we gone thru chips already>? waste of money IMO. at least for now. you won't see big gains with just some small mods but after some bigger mods then u can utilize it...i'd invest in somethign like an AFC or something that u can tune and retune as needed.

hahahahhaha... Guys you really need to uderstand what a chip actualy does. You may say yes, a chip does add power to some 1.8t's.. but only because they have turbos and what teh chip does is add more boost! 40% is a significant amount of power. Id say if you are going to get a chip... it's specifically tuend to your car! I had a system called Hondata on my ITR, which had the capabilities to tune the car w/ the correct ignition and fuel maps since i had several mods that needed to different setups. A chip is just a specific guess, or just a dumb way to spend 200 or how much they cost for just adding maybe 2 HP. you really need to understand each product and what capabilities it has!

You haven't found them because they don't exist. The best you can expect is running a piggyback system at this point. Considering Mistubishi has soldered their chips since 95 I don't think you'll be seeing one anytime soon anyway. Besides that you're not going to get much in gains with any ECU changes unless you have the parts to back them up (or rather front them up and the comp to back it up).

that is so true. but if you look into the Jetta or in the GTi's engine bay its so much more complicated than the Lancer's engine. with the lancer you can jump right to work. with the VW's you have to find everything under all the trim pieces. nonetheless, remember that the VW's you are referring to are either turboed or have a bigger displacement motor than the lancer which does give it an advantage...

Why don't you just look around for a bit and read reviews? I'm sure they'd help more then anything else. Reading the Upgrade Path guide from Rob Tallini would be a good start too. Just about everything's here just waiting to be read.

What would you people go for ...
I just bought 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ... Black one
I am buying exhaust today. After that what do you think would be the best choice to make. Get the cold air intake or get something else. I want this car to kick ***. I am also looking for some good *** kicking stickers that i can put on the car. I have already purchased and putted on the mitsubishi sticker on my front hood. If you know a good website with some good **** that i can use please tell me

Also if anyone is from Illinois area * United States * and would like to join a street racing team which is runned by me and Debeksysio then let me or him know about it. Thank you

the most noticeable gains from vw are with the 1.8t engines. There 2.0s can have very nice gains as well once you throw in the cam and tune the chip with it. I've seen one beat an Si with intake and exhaust... it was very nice

Like some others have said, a chip will benfit more in output mostly for turbocharged engines. For example, for the WRX, with only a chip, DP, and filter only, that's a healthy gain of 20-30 WHP. The same also applies for VW/Audi's 1.8T. For example, the TT's stock output was 225hp, with only a chip upgrade, there's is approx 25hp added with 25% increase for low end torque. All that for just $700...not bad at all

However, for most Japanese NA cars, piggyback will still be more feaseable....
