Thumbs down Cooling Fan Controller Problem!!!

Has anyone taken their 2002/2003 Lancer ES, OZ, LS and or 2003 Evolution to get the cooling fan controller problem taken care of at a mitsubishi dealership. I just got the letter in the mail from mitsubishi about the problem they are having with these model, which can cause your car to overheat if it is not taken care of.. What do you guys think about this, and has anyone had any overheating problems...

i actually just went to get mine taken care of, it wasnt actually a big deal @ all, 30 minutes or less plus my oil change. I've only got about 13k on my 2003 oz rally, no problems with the cooling fan controller whatsoever, but better to get the problem fixed now then big problems in the future. Plus it just gave me another opportunity to go down to the dealership to look at the ralliarts and evos! God bless

well i'm not sure who's right, but someone said they checked the "offical recall notice site" or something like that, and it stated only a certain batch of lancers. maybe i'll give my local dealer a call just to make sure.

Igot mine replaced 3 weeks ago, even though i still haven't gotten my letter, but my 03 lancer was on recall.

It takes less than one half hour.

i never recieved any notice in the mail, i just read about it on the site. I called up, scheduled an appointment and had them take care of it. Its all warranty work so it wont cost a dime. Its worth getting it fixed now with them paying, cuz if you dont and your car does overheat, then you have to pay to fix that problem because they gave you fair warning.
