The service clerk is the one that said it is a recall. Its on order because they didnt have it in stock.

I guess its a control head assembly. But if your AC knob is difficult to turn when adjusting the temperature you can get it replaced for free.

 

I've heard throw out bearings are also one of those "if its crap you can get it replaced". Thinking of calling my dealer tomorrow and seeing what the symptoms and conditions are for this is.

 

I called my nearest dealer today about the fan controller, and asked about the throw out bearing, went something like this:

Me: Oh, and since I'm driving like an hour and 20 to get down there, can somone look at my transmission? I think I'm having trouble with the throwout bearing

Larry: How many miles are on it

Me: about 32K

Larry: So there's a chatter when you shift sometimes

Me: Yeah

Larry: Ok, we'll take a look. Shouldn't take more than an hour and a half for the whole thing.



So, he didn't say they'd replace it, but he knew the symptoms and didn't sound surprised that I wanted it looked at. We'll see what happens. I hope these guys live up to their reputation for good service. Plus there's a new Popeye's that opened up about a mile away, maybe I can bribe them to work fast if I promise chicken and biscuits
