2008 ES M/T Clutch?
2008 ES M/T Clutch?
Hello Everyone,
I have a 2008 ES lancer with a M/T. It has just over 117K miles (True miles, I bought it new). First gear is starting to slip and I am thinking I need a new clutch. I have look at the normal autozone type stores and they want almost 1200 just for the clutch (something about a elec throwout bearing?)
Anyhow, I did a quick search uptell 2010, but did not see anything. Anyone have any input on this? How to guide? (Everything is stock, have done nothing to the car)
Thanks!!

This seems to be the correct place for the thread. So you're good there.
1200 for just the clutch (no installation) seems a bit much. RRM has ACT and Clutch Masters clutches for less than 700$. When it comes time for me to replace my clutch, I'll definitely be getting an after-market one, so I'd say look there.

I haven't heard much of a positive review when it came to Clutch Masters either, but this should be a rough price range, and hopefully you'll get an idea of what to look for when buying.
